Information You Choose to Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party results provider. Our servers do not retain the query. A message sent to us is used to read and answer that message.
For sensitive public-safety records, use the official Georgia Bureau of Investigation registry guidance and heed its accuracy warning.
Official warnings are part of the context and should remain attached to any result.
Routine Technical Data
Our hosting keeps ordinary server logs: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We look at this in aggregate to keep the site healthy and to see which pages readers use. Cookies or similar technologies may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
Operating the site, fixing problems, counting traffic, improving pages. We do not sell visitor lists and we do not build profiles of individual users.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
The official Georgia Unclaimed Property program is one example of a state service with its own claim process.
Use the state's route instead of giving claim data to an unknown intermediary.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
Federal court searches are separately governed by PACER policies and fees.
A PACER account and court record are outside this site's systems.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Gwinnett County falls within the Northern District of Georgia for federal court matters.
The court's own website controls its notices and record-access directions.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Choices About Site Data
Rights to access, correct, or delete website data can depend on where a visitor lives. Because we retain little information, a request generally concerns a contact message or ordinary server log. Use the Contact page to ask. Records held by Georgia, Gwinnett County, or Snellville custodians remain outside our control and must be addressed with that office.
Suspected fraud may be reported through the Federal Trade Commission's ReportFraud service.
Reporting fraud is separate from asking a public custodian to correct its source record.
Updates to This Policy
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
